Infrastructure Engineer with deep expertise across cloud platforms, DevOps automation, and virtualization technologies. Experienced in designing and implementing multi-account architectures on both AWS and Azure, building hybrid cloud environments that bridge on-premises and cloud infrastructure, Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, and container orchestration solutions. Skilled at migrating legacy workflows to modern CI/CD pipelines, optimizing DNS and networking configurations, and evaluating architectural trade-offs for scalability and maintainability. Practical AI experience earned hands-on: self-hosting LLM inference with GPU passthrough, integrating local models into real services, and building AI features for small data workloads.

My Thoughts on AI

AI is great — as an assistant. I really like what AI empowers me to do: it can condense work and research down so I can move faster and think at a higher level.

My issue comes when, instead of someone using AI for themselves and then conveying the information in their own words, they just copy-paste the AI's output as their own. That presents a big inefficiency: if that's all it is, I should have just asked the AI directly. The value a person adds is the judgment, filtering, and understanding they bring on top of the output.

So I'll continue to filter through my team's output rather than pass it along untouched — and I really hope everyone does the same.

Who I Am

Born and raised in Louisville, I have been chaos testing homelab infra since I was a teen. Constantly taking apart computers and editing scripts and game files made me the engineer I am today. Nowadays I try to do more structured chaos engineering and am working with my own homelab gear. I am always trying to optimize my maximum data throughput as I hate waiting. Deep down I like to think I am living the dream of the kid who just wanted to know how computers work.

Hobbies & Extras

When I'm not working, I'm usually still at a keyboard or a workbench:

  • Gaming: longtime gamer — it’s also half the reason the homelab has a GPU
  • 3D Printing: self-taught CAD, designing and printing functional parts
  • Homelabbing & Computer Building: building and tuning PCs and lab servers — Proxmox, self-hosted services, and way too many containers
  • Drone Flying: amateur pilot, but really want to make my own one day
  • Microcontrollers: software and hardware design on embedded boards
