Iran War Map

Overview

Developed an interactive web-based map for visualizing reported strike activity involving Iran, designed around a timeline playback experience that lets users explore events chronologically instead of viewing them as a static dataset. The project combines geospatial data, UI/UX design, and front-end engineering to present complex, time-sensitive information in a clearer and more accessible format.

The site emphasizes fast visual comprehension: users can see where events occurred, how activity changed over time, and how individual incidents relate spatially and temporally. It was built as a lightweight, public-facing GitHub Pages project and is available at https://iran.github.zackhigdon.com/, making it easy to deploy, share, and update without requiring a backend service.
