Built an interactive web-based conflict tracker for the Russia–Ukraine war that combines chronological event data with a Leaflet-powered map interface. The site lets users replay events over time, filter the timeline, inspect individual incidents, and view source-linked context directly from each event. I structured the project around a reusable event schema, backfilled roughly a year of conflict data, and added visual affordances for severity, location, actor/category, and cumulative damage tracking. The result is a lightweight static site that turns dense open-source reporting into an explorable timeline/map experience, emphasizing data organization, frontend interactivity, and clear presentation of complex geopolitical events.
